Andy and Mercedes are both the founders and leaders of /slantis. They
started their careers as professional architects studying and working in
Europe with the pioneers of parametric design. They founded /slantis on the
belief that collectively we are stronger. Women empowerment is their motive,
and today, 80% of /slantis team leaders report as female.
They are revolutionizing how architects work through technology.

Andy Robert is a professional architect from ORT University in Uruguay. She lived
in Germany and studied architecture in Dessau, where the former Bauhaus was
located. Today she is CEO of /slantis, co-founded in 2015 with her life-long friend
Mercedes Carriquiry.
/slantis is a disruptive company, that combines cutting-edge technology with
architecture to provide from production development and BIM consulting services
to visualization and innovation for the AEC industry for the United States.
Very energetic, curious, and entrepreneurial, she is actively involved in events that
advocate for women as leaders.
She became an expert in management, marketing, and sales. Andy is also vegan and
Beltran and Jaime's mum.
Andy Robert es arquitecta egresada de la Universidad ORT Uruguay. Vivió y estudió
arquitectura en Dessau, antigua Bauhaus en Alemania. Hoy es CEO de /slantis,
fundada en 2015 junto a su socia Mercedes Carriquiry.
/slantis es una empresa que fusiona arquitectura y tecnología de vanguardia, y que
brinda desde servicios de arquitectura y consultoría BIM hasta visualización e
innovación para la industria AEC (Arquitectura, Ingeniería y Construcción) para Estados Unidos.
Muy inquieta, curiosa y emprendedora, participa activamente de eventos que
impulsan y reivindican el rol de la mujer como líder.
Se profesionalizó en management, marketing y ventas. Además, es vegana y mamá
de Beltrán y Jaime.

Mercedes Carriquiry is an architect and entrepreneur. Her focus is on technology
applied to design processes and teams. She is a graduate of the Faculty of
Architecture of the University of the Republic in Uruguay. She studied in Grenoble,
France, and later worked in Jean Nouvel's studio in Paris.
She graduated in digital fabrication from MIT Fabacademy and is a member of the
winning team for the Autodesk Generative Design Hackathon 2019 in Toronto.
In 2015 she co-founded /slantis with Andy Robert, a firm that merges cutting-edge
architecture with technology to provide from architecture and BIM consulting
services to visualization and innovation for the AEC industry in the United States.
Today she is in charge of the management of operations and innovation of /slantis.
Mercedes is also a member of Women in BIM since 2020 and a regional
leader for Uruguay.
Mercedes Carriquiry es arquitecta y entrepreneur. Su foco está en la tecnología
aplicada a los procesos de diseño y el equipo. Es egresada de la Facultad de
Arquitectura de la Universidad de la República en Uruguay. Estudió en Grenoble,
Francia y después trabajó en el estudio de Jean Nouvel en París.
Es graduada en fabricación digital del MIT Fabacademy y parte del equipo ganador
